do I need a script/REFERRAL to schedule my first appointment?

No, you do not need a script or referral from your physician to start your plan of care. Pennsylvania is a direct access state, which means in most cases you do not need a physician referral to begin physical therapy.

How many visits do I need?

After discussing your goals and completing the initial assessment, we will work together to make a schedule that works for you.  You should notice changes in your symptoms within 1-3 visits. We see clients anywhere from once a week to once a month over a time period of weeks to months. We will create realistic schedule and plan that works for your life!

What is pelvic floor physical therapy?

At Mother Recover Physical Therapy and Wellness, we take a whole-body approach to pelvic health. While the pelvic floor is an important part of treatment, we also evaluate factors such as posture, breathing patterns, strength, movement patterns, mobility, stress, sleep, hormones, daily activities, and exercise demands. By addressing the entire person—not just the symptoms—we help women move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they love.

Issues such as low back pain, hip pain, groin pain, pelvic pain, tailbone pain, involve the pelvic floor and need a whole-body approach to improve.

Pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on the muscles, ligaments, connective tissues, nerves, and joints that support the pelvis and core. The pelvic floor plays an important role in bladder and bowel function, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, intimacy, core function, exercise performance, and overall quality of life.

Do you accept my insurance?

Maybe! Mother Recover Physical Therapy and Wellness, LLC is an out of network provider.  Being an out of network provider allows us to have 60 minutes 1:1 together to address your goals.  It also allows us to provide the treatment that you need without limitations from your insurance and you typically get better faster and with less overall visits saving time and money!  Being able to see you in your home and virtually also makes it easier for you to attend appointments more consistently without having to worry about childcare, nap time, illnesses, driving/traffic, etc.

PA residents: You may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance provider if you have out of network benefits. You can use HSA or FSA funds for your visits.  Please call your insurance company to confirm your benefits.  A superbill can be provided to you to assist with reimbursement.

Non-PA residents and Pelvic Health and Wellness Clients: You cannot submit to your insurance for reimbursement for these visits, but can use HSA or FSA funds for your visits.

Mother Recover is not a Medicare/Medicaid provider and we are unable by law to provide skilled physical therapy services to Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries. If you are looking for pelvic health and wellness coaching and not physical therapy, please reach out.
